Kelowna RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run in the Black Mountain area that left an electric scooter rider with critical injuries.
We’re learning more about a crash in the Black Mountain area on Saturday.
Kelowna RCMP is actively investigating the incident as a hit-and-run.
A 59-year-old man was riding his electric scooter near the intersection of Lewis Road and Gardner Road at approximately 3:10 p.m. on October 29, when he was struck by another vehicle.
The man suffered significant injuries and is currently being treated at Kelowna General Hospital.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a smaller car, possibly green in colour.
Police are calling on the driver to come forward. They’re also asking witnesses or anyone who might have dash camera footage to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. The file number is 2022-67981.
In a Facebook post on Kelowna Alert, a woman says it was her dad who was struck and he has critical injuries. She also made a plea for anyone with information to come forward.
