Production spy test
It was in November last year that BMW first unveiled a pre-production concept called CE 04, defined by EICMA. It was recently discovered that an almost production version of the same is being commissioned. This indicates that the electric scooter has moved from the concept stage to the testing stage.
The CE 04 e scooter is expected to be the first two-wheeled electric vehicle by Bavarian automakers. The image of the test prototype taken with the camera is very similar to the concept version that first appeared a few months ago. However, there are subtle cosmetic differences that are expected to sneak into the final production model.
That said, most of the elements of the Concept Scooter have been carried over to this almost produced version. This includes layered complex bodywork inspired by the style of the Ducati Sport 1000 Biposto.
The front end shows off a large V-shaped headlamp with LED DRL integrated into the apron, along with deep creases and cornered lines. The flat floating integrated seat with a small branch between the rider and the pillion also gives a clean impression.
With a lower seat and a front-set foot peg, this e-scooter offers a cruiser-like relaxed riding position, while the huge floorboard offers dual footrest positions for a more comfortable riding experience. Provide. The wide and raised handlebars add even more emphasis to a relaxed riding position. The battery pack and electric motor are cleverly hidden inside the side body panel.
Several changes have been made to the concept model to make the electric scooter road legal. These include mirrors, reflectors, brake lights, and rear tire huggers that house indicators and license plates mounted on mudguards. Additional updates are limited to the new rear fenders and new body panels.
Moving on to the list of features, the CE 04 is expected to feature a huge 10.25-inch TFT instrument console, accommodating connectivity options such as Bluetooth, phone, and music control, and reading multiple data. ..
Other features that are likely to be cut include keyless operation, navigation, and wireless phone charging. With a low-mounted battery and a compact powertrain, there’s plenty of space in the illuminated storage compartment that can be used to hold helmets and other small items.
From the spy shot, the next CE 04 appears to be driven by a midrange electric motor with a belt drive system instead of the wheelbase BLDC hub motor offered on most modern e-scooters. .. The exact specifications for CE 04 have not yet been revealed, but in most cases it may accommodate daily urban commuting. Suspension work can be handled by a pair of telescopic front forks and a rear offset monoshock.
