A man had his electric scooter stolen at knifepoint in Bedford – and police are appealing for your help.
At approximately 5.30pm on Monday (May 24), a man was travelling on an electric scooter in an alleyway between Edward Road and Victoria Road in Bedford when two men signalled him to slow down.
One of the offenders then pulled out a small red and black knife from his bag and threatened the victim to hand over the scooter.
The offenders then took the scooter and walked off in the direction of Victoria Road.
The first offender, who threatened the victim with the knife, is described as a black man in his 30s, 5ft 10in and slim. At the time of the offence, he was seen wearing a grey tracksuit with hood up, black shoes, a black mask and a grey bag.
The second offender is described as a black man in his late 30s, and approximately 5ft 10in. He was wearing a black tracksuit, black shoes and a black mask.
Investigation Officer Alexandra Puffett said: “This incident happened near a busy road during peak travel time. Therefore, we would appeal to any commuters or motorists who were travelling in the area at the time to check their dash cams to see if the offenders were captured walking away from the area at the time.
“This type of crime won’t be tolerated and we remain dedicated to bringing offenders to justice.”
