Ladies and gentlemen, we have some news about what may after all be BMW Motorrad’s first all-electric two-wheeler. Yep, the BMW CE 04 electric scooter was spotted testing in production form quite recently, thus sparking rumours that it may take the title of the Bavarian automaker’s first-ever electric two-wheeler. This upcoming e scooter is based on the BMW Definition CE 04 Concept that was first showcased last year in November during EICMA 2020. However, at the time the BMW e scooter was only a prototype; whereas the test mule whose images have made their way on to the internet seems to be production-ready or at least very, very close to it.

Since this the first time the BMW CE 04 was spotted, we get to learn quite a bit of details from the spy shots. For starters, the electric maxi scooter looks pretty much the same as the BMW Definition CE 04 concept. This means it retains all the quirky bits from the concept, including that huge apron up front, the V-shaped headlamp, and the cruiser bike-like seating position among other things. Oh, and let’s not forget the huge floorboard as well as the raised handlebar — all these elements seek to ensure a relaxed riding position.

On to the features, then; now considering the CE 04 is a BMW Motorrad  baby, a long list of modern features and functionalities is a given. The company’s upcoming electric electric scooter will come equipped with a huge 10.25-inch TFT instrument console that offer information about a variety of factors. We believe it will also get connectivity technology in all probability.

Unfortunately, that is all we know about the BMW CE 04 e scooter. This means no word yet about motor, battery, performance, riding, range and charging time. Now, before you ask us about the BMW CE 04 electric scooter’s India launch, allow us to clarify that BMW Motorrad India has made absolutely no comments about bringing this baby to India. Nonetheless, we will continue to hope and keep you posted about any developments in this regard.
