Gogoro Viva electric scooter trademarked in India
You guys remember earlier this month we told you that Hero MotoCorp is working on a new line of electric two wheelers with Gogoro, a Taiwan-based company that deals in electric scooters as well battery swapping systems? Yeah, well, there has been some development in that reagrd. The Taiwanese company has now gone ahead and filed a trademark for its Gogoro Viva electric scooter in India. Of course, that marks quite an exciting bit of turns, especially as Hero MotoCorp is preparing to mark its entry into the electric vehicles market in India. But more about the Gogoro Viva for now; this one is decidedly meant for a younger audience, thanks to that funky design as well as the lively colour options it is available with in international markets.
The upcoming electric scooter comes equipped with modern provisions such as an LCD instrument panel, smartphone connectivity, etc. As for the mechanicals — Gogoro Viva is propelled by a 3kW electric motor. As for the performance — that will depend on the variant one chooses. The e scooter is available across two variants; with the basic version, the electric motor belts out 85 Nm of peak torque, whereas with the premium, keyless variant, this motor generates 115 Nm. Oh, and let us not forget the Gogoro Viva also gets two ride modes, namely, Normal and Superboost.
Gogoro Viva’s riding range is claimed to 85 km per charge.
The fact that Gogoro Viva electric scooter has been registered in India strongly hints that it may be part of the portfolio that the Hero MotoCorp-Gogoro partnership is working on.
