NEW DELHI: Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, Ola Electric, has started testing its electric scooter and soon it will be commercially launched.

The electric scooter is being tested on tracks camouflaged in black and white . As per the recent reports, the scooter can go up to 100 kmph speed and have a range of 100 km in a single charge.

“The company has stepped up testing its soon-to-be-launched scooter with in-house focus groups as well as in customer groups. While pitting it against other conventional and electric variants in the market, the Ola scooter outperformed them consistently”, an Ola Spokesperson said.

According to the company, the scooter has won several prestigious design and innovation awards around the world including the Marketing Innovation award at CES, and the German Design Award.

The e-scooter is expected to be priced competitively against the current petrol scooters, as the company looks to tap the 20-million units two-wheeler market in India.
