Electric bike stolen as owner shops for food Leave a comment

THE owner of an electric bike was shocked to find it had been stolen from outside a Bournemouth shop.

Officers investigating the theft, which took place outside Tesco Express, Wallisdown Road, have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The victim, a Poole man in his 20s, left his bike – a grey and orange Carrera electric bicycle – outside while shopping for food.

While the theft took place around 2.40pm on Tuesday, December 22, police have only just released the CCTV image.

Police community support investigator Cheryl Belfield, of Bournemouth police, said: “Following enquiries I have obtained an image of a man I would like to speak to.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
